Creating lasting relationships with clients and the business community is Scott’s legacy. Following in the footsteps of three generations of contractors, Scott has been the guiding force behind the growth of Welliver for more than 47 years. And he takes that responsibility seriously. In fact, Scott is instrumental in leading the company forward into its 120th anniversary in 2018.

As Chairman and CEO, Scott provides strategic direction, fosters long-standing client relationships, and mentors project teams. Never short on ideas, Scott leverages his entrepreneurial spirit to help make things happen. He is always thinking ahead, reshaping the vision for the company. Over the past four decades, Scott has built a reputation in the construction community as a thought leader. His passion stems from lessons learned from his forefathers to do what you can to make communities a better place to work and live. This philosophy is evident with every Welliver construction project.

Scott is active in many professional organizations such as the Associated General Contractors of New York State (Past President & Board member); Elmira College (Past Trustee); Five Rivers Council BSA (Past President, Board Member, and Silver Beaver Recipient); Community Foundation of Chemung, Steuben, and Schuyler Counties ((Past Board Member); Schuyler County Economic Development and Industrial Development Agency; Governor’s Regional Economic Development Council (Past Board Member); Elmira Savings Bank (Board Member); and International Motor Racing Research Council (Treasurer & Board Member). Scott attended Indiana Institute of Technology, School of Civil Engineering. Married to his wife Lori for 45 years, they have two children and seven granddaughters.
