Welliver planned, managed, and restored the three-story, 150-year-old building. The museum hosts artifacts, educational displays, art exhibits, conferences, a gift shop, and employee offices. The building, last renovated in 1982, received an entire interior overhaul along with an addition and a terrace overlooking the City of Corning.
The parking lot also received a new look resembling a Western motif. In addition, Welliver renovated and updated the Cantina space located on the street level of the museum.
