Our client was challenged with the lack of space to adequately service their patients as well as provide a controlled work environment for hospital personnel. The current pharmacy consisted of a small corridor pick up window with little to no privacy.
Once the new emergency room (ER) addition was constructed and occupied, Welliver renovated the old ER space into an expanded pharmacy along with a privacy vestibule and waiting area for patients. In the pharmacy itself, we constructed corridor walls to be compliant with life safety, fire, and smoke regulatory requirements. In addition, our team coordinated work with utilities subcontractors to accommodate new storage space to house pharmaceutical supplies.
