The 28,000 square foot facility in Schuyler County is one of several facilities that are shared by a wide range of government agencies as legislative leaders representing county, village, town, and school district entities continue to find ways to improve service without increasing costs. This was a great advancement for the community and was achieved through effective teamwork of the architect and construction manager.
The building houses offices for the County’s Soil and Water Conservation District; Buildings and Grounds Department; as well as County, Town, and Village Highway Departments. The maintenance bays are shared by EMS vehicles, county road maintenance trucks, and equipment. The fueling station is shared by the county vehicles and the school district’s bus fleet.
This facility project received the second place 2010 Local Government Achievement Award in the Public Management and Administration category from the New York State Council of Mayors (NYCOM).
